How to Shop & Bid

Welcome to BidaTyre – where you can Shop Now at a fixed price or Bid in our Live & Upcoming Auctions.

Register (Once-off)

Choose account type: Individual or Business

1. Complete the short registration form (name, email, mobile, password, billing details).

2. We’ll send a verification email to confirm your address.
• Check your spam/junk folder if you don’t see it within a few minutes.
• Click the verification link to activate your account.

3. Return to the site and Log In with your email & password.

Tip: You can update addresses, view orders, watchlist, and account details any time under My Account.

Log in

Click on the “Login” button on the Homepage or the “Login” menu option in the top right corner of the page. Login with your Email Address and chosen Password.

Two ways to buy

On the homepage you’ll see two clear buttons:
Shop Now (Fixed Price) – standard e-commerce flow (add to cart → checkout).
Auctions (Live & Upcoming) – place bids and win lots when the timer ends.

Below are the step-by-step flows for each option.

Shop Now (Fixed Price)


1. Click Shop Now on the homepage.

2. Filter / Search to find what you need (size, brand, grade, price, depot, etc.).

3. Open a product to view full details (size, brand, grade, tread depth, images, depot).

4. Click Add to Cart for the lots you want.

5. Go to Cart → Checkout and follow the Payment Instructions shown.
• (Current status) EFT is accepted. Banking details appear on your order confirmation page and in the email.

6. Once your payment clears, you’ll receive:
• Payment Confirmation email; and
• Collection Advice with a QR Code.

7. Collect your goods at the specified depot:
• Your QR Code is scanned by depot staff.
• Details include the depot name, address, contact person, and collection window.
• You may inspect on collection; if condition materially differs from grading, follow the on-site dispute process for a credit review (as per T&Cs).

Prefer delivery? Select Delivery Request at checkout and we’ll quote you. (Note: courier is not ideal for most tyres; we also offer internal managed logistics for larger/wholesale movements.)

Auctions (Live & Upcoming)

1. Click Auctions (Live & Upcoming) on the homepage.

2. Browse Live lots (open for bidding now) and Upcoming lots (show start time).

3. Open any lot to view full details (images, size/brand, grading, depot, start/end times).

4. Place a Bid:
• Enter your amount; the system shows increments and if you’ve been outbid.
• Some lots may show a Buy Now option (skip bidding at a fixed premium).

5. Auction Closing & Extensions:
• Auctions close at a set time.
• Anti-sniping: a late bid may extend the timer briefly to keep it fair (see T&Cs for the exact rule).

6. If you win (highest valid bid at close):
• You’ll receive an Order Confirmation and proceed to Checkout.
• Follow the Payment Instructions (currently EFT).

7. After payment verification, you’ll receive Payment Confirmation and a Collection Advice with QR Code.

8. Collect at depot (same as Shop Now flow): QR is scanned, and collection is recorded.

Didn’t win? We’ll email you that the auction closed and your bid was unsuccessful. Add items to your Watchlist to track similar lots.

Payment, Confirmation & Collection (Both Paths)

• Order Confirmation email: immediately after checkout (Shop Now) or when you win (Auction).
• Payment: follow instructions on the order confirmation page/email.
• Payment Confirmation: sent once funds reflect and are verified.
• Collection Advice & QR Code: includes depot, address, contact person, and collection instructions.
• On-site Scan: present your QR code + proof of payment; depot scans to release goods.
• Delivery Option: request a quote during checkout or via your order page.

Helpful Tools
My Account: orders, addresses, watchlist, account details, auction settings.
Filters: narrow by size, brand, grade, price, depot, and more.
Watchlist: track items and get reminders.
T&Cs: we require acknowledgement before bidding; they govern bidding, payment, collection, disputes, and credits.

Quick FAQ’s

I didn’t get the verification email.
Check spam/junk and mark the domain as safe; then click the link. If still missing, use Resend Verification on the login screen or email registrations@bidatyre.co.za from the email address you used to register.

Can I pay by card?
We’re integrating card gateways. For now, EFT is available and instructions appear on your order confirmation.

When will I get my collection QR code?
Right after payment verification. It’s also visible under My Account → Orders.

What if the grading looks wrong at collection?
Flag it immediately with depot staff before upliftment. We follow a grading-dispute review that can result in a credit if verified (see T&Cs).

Can you deliver?
Yes – request a delivery quote at checkout. Courier works best for smaller items; for tyres/wholesale we offer managed transport. Email us on logistics@bidatyre.co.za with your requirements.
